  3. They are Lions who enjoys working with youth.
  4. Their role in leadership often affects the success of a Leo Club.
  5. Along with two other appointed Lions, they form the Leo club advisory committee.
  6. They should attend each Leo club and board of directors meeting.

 

For Alpha Leo Clubs - guiding the young Leos to plan effective meetings and successful service.

For Omega Leo Clubs - serve mainly as a liaisons between the Leo Club and the sponsoring Lions Club.

faculty advisor

 

An appointed member of the school teaching staff - one or two in number.

  • Serves as the liaison between the school and the Leo Club.

  • Provides a continuity between the club and school administration.

  • Ensure that the club stays within the policies of the school.

 

Suggested duties of the Faculty Advisor

  1. Make sure that all club activities are managed according to school policy.

  2. Ensure that the Lions Club's constitution and bylaws conform to school policies governing student organizations.

  3. Ensure that the club's financial records conform to school regulations for student organization.

  4. Help recruit potential members through contact with other faculty members and students.

  5. Keep the members informed of school activities and events.

  6. Help the club communicate with school departments, faculty and administration.

  7. Seek out suggestion for club service projects from the faculty, administration and other groups.

  8. Help the club obtain publicity in school publication.

  9. Work with the advisors from other organizations to form joint service projects.

  10. Encourage the club officers to participate in district events, specially leadership training.

  11. Help obtain meeting room space for regularly scheduled meetings.

  12. It is recommended that the faculty advisor become an active member of the club and become involved in the leadership training offered by the district.
